thats not exactly true. these conditions are not mutually exclusive. Artists for example make lots of money but not divorced from commerce and industry. Thats poverty talking.

      Venus MindTrap what not exactly is is : people who do not educate themselves not only skill wise but in application may just fall into proving out a "fail". I live in a conclave of well off artists. Artisans. And remote workers in the sciences too. Art is all around you. for example, the textile patterns u wear , the ads you view incessantly, the jingles you are CONDITIONED to remember, the hit songs on the radio the books you need to study or for enjoyment are often cranked out for PAY by folk who found a niche not just that but a guild of like minded . To you its pie in the sky or whut da wyt folk do ----. Every year for example, fine emergent artists (who practice and polish after getting some actual TRAINING, unlike Boomquisha's school of non-action non thought and expectations) compete at the STATE FAIR bring there a BODY of work honed all year and ---surprise ---pick up a patron. Thats actual reality, and now we have the internet SOMEBODY SOMEWHER ON THE PLANET would buy that. Cottage industry online has brought that back. There has been a rebirth of MIDDLE- & WORKING-CLASS musicians as well---save for those who beg or expect the small hatz hollywood mafia to take them in , in more than one way. And I have no problem encouraging art because I know this 2) am not indocrinated to be beggarly negro. Who indulges i suppose in floggin my spawn before Mr. Charlie does.Beta the human out of em. And make a good slave.

      You are aptly named. Your mind is rusted SHUTT. While others make money doing what they love to do ---after training and appriopate marketing ---you willing to subjugate your own children to be LESS. to "fit in". and your imagination or lack thereof build a prison. You dont even know any better. Please stop watching tv and allowing video games to condition your home. You mind needs AIR. Read books about the outside world. Spend $ on whats inside your head --- many of us donr even have HOBBIES for gawds sake. My people think shopping is a hobby . And expensive hair treaments are "hygiene" .       Celestea Deanes Ads and Jingles are not "Art" You have to do what the client wants to a large degree and more than one person is involved.... Art is a freedom of expression you don't have to be educated to be an artist just imaginative and persistent.... The term " Starving Artist" exist for a reason because your work has to catch on and you'll have to find your place for it..... Parents mostly preach education and jobs that offer security especially government jobs.... Passion is not promoted for everyone... Which is exactly what this post is trying to say....

      Venus MindTrap OMG. I thought i was bringing information to you closer to your level. One u had some touch with? Have you EVER attended a gallery opening? Or prepped a thumbnail to a broker? Or enrolled in an adult level art class? At the YMc A drafting class? or ever been in a neighborhood PRINT SHOP!? I never said the only way to produce art was thru the academic world, u right about that ---but i seriously doubt that u have enough ---focus to even bring a quilt to a county fair. U have written that much cultivation completely off. Totally If u had freedom of expression (mind you, you do not honor discipline or cultivation at all , like any producer or businessperson would which is immature as blazes) off . It never crossed your narrow-oppressed mind once. And here leading with your ego! I feel for your children. They have a slave mammy for a dam. BTW, ADVERTISING AGENCIES, STAGE PROP DIRECTORS GRAPHICS DISIGNERS MAKE MILLIONS creating art. Designing labels billboards, album covers, illustrators for magazines, books, buildings, packages. Art schools churn out thousands of those pros a year. And I guess they never heard of you either.

      I guess if u have a penchant for suffering u could find a way to starve. Thats an old old myth. Ignorance. this page we are on was designed by a GRAPHICS ARTIST. The chair u sitting in was designed by a draftsman. The packaging on your microwave meal. the textile printing on your church dress. The street signs outside your house! YOUR HOUSE! your hats gloves --draws! All of that came from a trained ARTIST!

      The HOURS u spend setting in front of a TV ---u could be painting, or embroidering metal work, ceramics, or sculpting, learning to draw in different mediums and SELLING IT. Just like any other market. Since Coviid hit, guess what! The private fine art market has exploded! Well off folk restless could not travel as much as before and seeking INVESTMENT are snapping up your "starving artists' work like never before! If u had actually READ trade journals or even poked around a art supply store u would have noticed. But naw. The Boomquisha Effect" Has taken hold .Loud. Opiniated. Dismissive. And SMALLMINDED. For no reason except its what u are used to. And Defensive when questioned. Girl. Get u some education, not just enough training to get u out of harness!
